Financial Controller – Farnborough – £60-75k (Depending on Experience, Negotiable)

Service sector group with c£20m TO and several divisions seeks hands on, commercial qualified FC to work with the board.  This is a well established and growing business that is ideally positioned to take market share, which makes this a highly exciting role.  Future prospects are excellent for the right candidate.   This role requires a confident and personable accountant who is very able to handle day-to-day routine but has the capacity and intellect to step up into a more strategic mindset (variable but up to  c20% of the time?) as required.

Duties:  Full Financial Control:  Budgeting – Monthly Man Acs – Staff Supervision & Management – AP – Payroll – AR – Cashflow – Bank liaison – Audit liaison – Year End Stat Acs – Board Minutes – Statutory Governance – Regulatory Compliance – Company Secretarial – Pensions – Insurance – Intercompany Accounting – FX.

Business Partnering: Working with the director team and the sales team on client revenue streams, forecasting and adding commercial financial value on contracts.

There are likely to be a number of interesting commercial projects which this role will own, once the hired individual has established trust with the executive director team.   This may include; systems work (Sage currently used), review of customer base and contracts and possible M&A work etc etc.

My client is looking for an ambitious and hard-working individual, who is able to be self accountable and own decisions, but be able to justify them.  A strong professional integrity and attention to detail is essential as this will not suit an “ivory tower” accountant.
