UK Tax Accountant C&I – Newbury – £50-65k + bonus + excellent benefits – Neg DOE

Large technology company seek qualified Tax Accountant with strong UK tax knowledge. Ideally you will be an ACA (or equivalent) with a strong academic background and experience of working within a fast moving sales business.  My client is a PLC but pride themselves on being customer focused and entrepreneurial in approach.

Primary responsibilities

This is a varied role in a growing and ambitious business. You will play a key role in supporting the UK Finance Team reporting to the  Financial Controller, with the following key activities –

Taxation elements of the role

  • VAT returns and required reporting.
    • Quarterly UK VAT return
    • Monthly Intrastat reporting
  • CIS returns and required reporting.
  • Instrastat monthly reporting
  • Annual R&D claim management, calculation and submission
  • Corporation Tax computations and analysis.
    • Quarterly Installation Payment calculation, in conjunction with the Group Finance Team
    • Half and Full Year tax and provision calculations
  • Setup the International business tax framework and review and opine on all international transactions from a taxation impact perspective.
  • iXBRL tagging.
  • Short Term Business Visitor Reporting
  • General UK tax planning
  • Ireland Legal Entity
    • Corporation Tax Return
    • Bimonthly VAT Return
  • Hungarian Legal Entity
    • Corporation Tax Return
    • Bimonthly VAT Return
  • US Legal Entity
    • Corporation Tax Return
    • Sales Tax Returns (depending on relevant US State)
  • Assist the Group Finance team with Senior Accounting Office reporting requirements from a UK perspective.

Other responsibilities

  • Certain Treasury activities from a UK perspective
    • UK bank account policy and management
    • Assist the Group Finance Team with UK cash forecasting.
  • Assist with annual statutory accounts preparation.
  • Review and coordinate UK transfer pricing policy
